Beagle Mix Anyone?

I'm just going to repost what I've written in myspace and facebook here:

FREE BEAGLE MIX TO GOOD HOME.
I'm hoping someone can help us on here. Yesterday Mark and I saw a young beagle mix doggy almost get hit by a car while crossing the road on State Route 60 in Lowell.

We picked up the little guy and went knocking on doors in Lowell in hopes of finding his owner. Some neighborhood kids told us that they had seen the Beagle running around for a few days.

Noone seems to have recognized him that we've asked, but he is such a sweet and friendly little guy, that it is hard for us to believe that he doesn't have a family out there somewhere.

Either way, it appears that no one is looking for him. Mark and I plan on trying to put up fliers to find him a new home. We're going to keep him here for a week, before giving up and taking him to the shelter- which I DO NOT want to do. He is such a sweet dog.

Please let me know if you would be interested in adopting this sweetie. I'm going to post pictures of him on myspace.

Please ask anyone you know if they would be interested! I'm sure he would be a wonderful hunting dog or family companion. He is very gentle, good with children, and other dogs.

Thanks again for any help or information!
~Ashley

Uhhg. Sometimes it is almost tough being such an animal lover. While this guy is a sweetie, I really am anxious to find him a new home. I really really don't want to take him to the shelter, but we just can't keep another dog right now. It's so tough. I hate that people just drop their dogs off on the highway and drive away. Tomorrow we're going to put up fliers, and we'll give him a week to live here. Things are just already crazy b/c we have 3 dogs, two kittens, a toddler, and a baby on the way. We can't keep another dog right now. Emma is so confused why he is here. She has been good about him, but he can't stay. Please pray that he does have owners out there that love him and will come forward, or that a good home will pop up. I dread, dread, dread taking him to the shelter. I'd feel like such a failure and horrible person. Why do people do this to their pets? Why is it that this isn't the first time, and I'm sure not the last that Mark and I have to try and find these sweet animals a home that have been abandoned. Grrrrrrr. Enough for tonight. Mark's putting an ad in the newspaper for the lil Beagle Mix as I type this.

I'll end with a new pic of the boys (Leo and Tucker)... they're doing so well!
